THIS TOUR STARTS IN BUDAPEST ON WEDNESDAYs

DAY 1, Wednesday – Arrive in Budapest

Arrive in Budapest, the capital city of Hungary that straddles the Danube River, with the Buda Hills to the west and Pest to the east; transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. This evening at approximately 6 PM, enjoy a Welcome Drink and Dinner, along with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager and fellow travelers. We recommend that you select flights which arrive in your destination no later than 4 PM on Day 2 of the itinerary, or earlier if possible

DAY 2, Thursday – Budapest City Tour

Take a morning city tour of Budapest. Begin in Pest and continue to view the Parliament, Heroes’ Square, and Market Hall before crossing the Danube to the Buda Hills. There, see the Royal Palace, visit Matthias Church and continue to the Fisherman’s Bastion for enthralling panoramic views of the city. Afternoon is at leisure, or join the optional tour to the Parliament* with its stunning interior and the impressive St. Stephen’s Basilica, the largest church in Budapest. End the tour with a walk through the historic Great Market Hall with its over 100 market stalls and endless choices of regional products. This evening, perhaps join the optional Danube dinner cruise and take in the spectacular skyline from the comfort of a private boat

DAY 3, Friday – Vienna City Tour

Depart Hungary and travel through the Austrian countryside to Vienna, former center of the Hapsburg Empire. Upon arrival in Vienna, enjoy a panoramic tour of the city that begins with a drive along the Ringstrasse, Vienna’s main boulevard, to view Hofburg Palace, the Opera House, the monument of Empress Maria Theresia, Votive Church, City Hall, Parliament, St. Charles’ Church, the monument of Johann Strauss, the Museum of Art History, the Natural History Museum, and Musikverein, the music hall of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Afterwards, continue to magnificent Schonbrunn Palace for a highlight tour. Perhaps, participate in the optional morning tour to Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, one of Europe’s newest capitals with time to explore the historic center of this charming city before returning to Vienna. DAY 6, Monday – Prague City Tour

A morning sightseeing tour of Prague includes a visit to the Royal Castle District at Hradcany, former residence of the Bohemian kings. Following your visit, view St. George’s Basilica, the oldest church in the Castle complex and best preserved Romanesque basilica in Prague.
